Why Options May Be Missing in Your Zoom Tool Setup

Learn why certain options may not appear when building a Zoom tool in PlusThis and how your Zoom settings directly impact what is available.

Overview

When building a Zoom tool in PlusThis, the available options are based entirely on how your meeting or webinar is configured in Zoom.

If certain settings are not enabled in Zoom, related options will not appear in the PlusThis tool builder.

Why Options Are Missing

PlusThis pulls available configuration options directly from your Zoom setup.

This means:

  • If a feature is not enabled in Zoom, it will not be available to select in PlusThis

  • The tool builder will only display options that are supported by your current Zoom configuration

Common Example: Registration Options

A common scenario is missing registration-related options, such as:

  • “Store the Webinar Join Link Here”

If you do not see this option, it typically means:

  • Registration is not required for your meeting or webinar in Zoom

  • Zoom is not generating unique join links per registrant

Because of this, PlusThis has no data to store, so the option is hidden.

How to Fix It

To make missing options appear, update your settings directly in Zoom.

Step 1: Update Your Zoom Settings

  1. Log into your Zoom account

  2. Open your meeting or webinar

  3. Enable the required feature (for example: Registration Required)

Step 2: Rebuild Your PlusThis Tool

After updating your Zoom settings:

  1. Return to PlusThis

  2. Create a new tool from scratch

  3. Select your updated meeting or webinar

⚠️ Important: Existing tools will not automatically update with new Zoom settings. You must rebuild the tool to see newly available options.

Additional Example: Field Mapping

When using Zoom tools in PlusThis:

  • Field mapping works in both directions:

    • Your CRM → Zoom (for registration)

    • Zoom → Your CRM (for attendance data)

  • PlusThis only maps:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

Ensure these fields are properly populated for successful data syncing.
