Split Test Emails - Keap

Run an A/B split test between two sequences by randomly routing contacts to A or B and applying tags. PlusThis tracks conversions using a goal tag and ends the test by date or conversion limit.

Split Test Emails Configuration Options

In this section, you will find the options for building your Split Test Emails tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

Step 1: Sequence Goal/Start Tag:

In this step, select the tag that you are using to kick off your first sequence that you'd like to split test.

Step 2: Sequence Goal/Start Tag:

In this step, select the tag that you are using to kick off your second sequence that you'd like to split test.

Step 3: New Option (button)

If you would like to have more than two sequences in the split test, click the "New Option" button and repeat step 1 for each added option.

Step 4: Which tag indicates conversion/success? (should be unique to this test, not used elsewhere)

In the drop-down, select the tag that you would like to indicate conversion. It should not be used anywhere else in your CRM application, otherwise it will throw off the split test.

Step 5: When would you like to choose the winner?

You can choose to select a winner after either:
- A number of specific conversions (enter the number)
- On a specific date and time (pick the date and time)

Step 6: Tool Name

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers.

Implementation Types

HTTP Post

Run your tool virtually anywhere in your campaign using an HTTP post element.

Step 1:

This Tool should be triggered by an "HTTP Post" from Infusionsoft. This can be done using the Campaign Builder's "Send HTTP Post" option found on the left hand side of the sequence builder, under the "Process" section.

Step 2: Decide where in your campaign you want to trigger this Tool. It can be part of virtually any Campaign Sequence.

Step 3: In the Campaign Sequence, place a "Send HTTP Post" action where you want to run the Tool.

Step 4: Use the Tool URL, provided above, in the "POST URL" field of the HTTP Post.

Step 5: Leave the default "Name / Value Pairs" as is. There should be an entry that looks like this: contactId = ~Contact.Id~

Step 6: Leave the Merge Fields as is. PlusThis gets all of the data necessary to run from the Contact Id Name / Value pair.

Step 7: Mark the HTTP Post (and Sequence) as "Ready".

Step 8: Publish your campaign changes and test! The "Send Test" button in Infusionsoft is not a good way to test PlusThis Tools. Instead, create a test contact record and push that record through the appropriate sequence.
