Easy Check In Configuration Options

Event Configration

In this section, you will find the options for building your Easy Check-In tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

Step 1: Which tag indicates that a record is eligible for this event?

In the drop-down, select which tag denotes that a contact is eligible for the event. (Typically this would be applied when someone purchases a ticket to the event)

If you do not have a tag created already, you can create a tag by clicking on the plus (+) symbol on the right-hand side of the tag selector.

Step 2: Apply this tag when the someone checks in. (By scanning the QR Code or clicking "check in".)

In the drop-down, select a tag for PlusThis to apply when the contact gets checked in to the event.

Step 3: Where should we store the latest check-in time?

If you would like the Check In Time stored in a field select the field where you would like this stored.

If you do not have a field created already, you can create a field by clicking on the plus (+) symbol on the right-hand side of the field selector.

Badge Options

In this section, you can configure basic badge options for how you'd like the QR code to look. If you are not planning on utilizing QR codes, you can skip this section.

Step 4: What should be displayed on the first line?

By default, we will have "Full Name" pre-selected to display on the first line of the Badge. If you would like to change this, you can select the field you would like to display instead.

Step 5: What should be displayed on the second line?

If you would like to display more information on the second line of the badge, select the field you would like to display.

Step 6: Create a unique QR code for this event

By default this checkbox will not be checked. If it is not checked, and your contact is eligible for multiple Easy Check In events, when the QR code is scanned, all the events will pop up and you will need to select which event to check them into.

If you check the box, each event will have a unique QR code, and when the QR code is scanned, even if a contact is eligible for more than one event only this one will show up.

QR Code Check-In Options

If you are not using QR codes, you can skip this section.

Step 7: Password protect this check-in

By default this checkbox will not be checked. When the QR code is scanned by any QR code scanner, the contact will be checked in.

If you would prefer to have to enter a password to check in contacts, you would check this box and then enter a password. This prevents people from potentially checking themselves into the event.

Step 8: Show a page after check-in.

By default this checkbox will not be checked and once the check-in page fully loads, the contact will be checked in.

If you would like to show a "thank you" type page, you can check the box and 2 configuration boxes will pop up. You can enter a Page Title, and select fields to be displayed on the page.

Admin Area Options

Admin area is viewable only by someone logged into your PlusThis account, and will not be viewable by your event attendees.

Step 9: Show Credit Card Details

By default, this check box is not checked. If you would like to display credit card details (last 4 and exp date) on the Admin area, check this box.

Displaying the Credit Card details is useful, as you will also be able to collect credit card details from the Admin Area if the box is checked.

Step 10: On the overview screen, show these additional fields:

Here we have three drop-downs where you can select additional fields to show on the Admin Area. (ie. Company Name, Email, Birthday, etc... )

Step 11: On the "View Details" screen, show the status of the following tags:

Click the Add a tag for display on the "View Details" screen button to populate a tag to display under "View Details".

In the drop-down that appears, select the tag that you would like to apply, and in the field next to the tag you can create an Alias to be displayed instead of the actual tag name. If you do not want to create an alias, just leave it blank.

Name Tool and Save

Step 12: Tool Name

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers.
